What’s your approach to calorie tracking?

Hey everyone, I’m looking for a simple way to track calories.

Do you use any apps for this? I would prefer something easy, like taking a picture and having the calories automatically tracked. If you have any recommendations, please share!

I use MyFitnessPal. You can scan barcodes to get nutrition info. I eat the same 5 or 6 meals, so I saved their calorie counts and now I can log them with a single click.

Got it, that makes sense. If you have a regular routine, entering details manually isn’t too hard overall!

When I track my intake, I use MacroFactor.

Yes, it becomes easy once you establish a routine.

I also enjoy tracking the micronutrients I’m getting.

I tried it a while ago, do you ever find it to be quite a lot of work at times?

The Samsung Health app is a free option.

Sticking to my diet feels like a lot of work, and measuring food is a hassle. But with MacroFactor, the robust database and photo feature for nutrition labels make logging easier.

I created a basic spreadsheet that sums up columns. I have separate columns for each macro and one for calories, and I added a shortcut to the mobile spreadsheet on my phone’s home screen.

I use the Lose It app because it’s affordable and works well.

I use Nutritionix. It’s straightforward to use, and it has been effective for me.

Is this my husband though?

Seriously, he does the same thing. Plus he’s a total Excel enthusiast.

Haha, I’m a bit of a spreadsheet geek myself, but this one is pretty straightforward.

Foodnoms is the only app I have liked enough to buy a premium subscription.

I use the Fitbit app because it’s convenient for tracking steps, sleep, and food. I didn’t count calories while losing weight; I just ate a bit less and gradually lost weight. Now that my body has recompensed, I’m using calorie and macro tracking to help me slowly add weight and size without bulk/cut cycles.
