I average about 9,200 steps a day. I walk to and from the office via the subway, and if my step count is low by 5-6pm, I’ll walk 2 miles around the park to boost it. How do others hit their step goals?
I average 10k steps, with a baseline of about 5k. I add regular walks and short runs, usually 1-3 miles each. Often, I’ll walk 2 miles earlier in the day and then run at night. My wife aims for 10k too, but has to do longer evening walks since her baseline is lower.
I use a standing desk with a treadmill, walking 4-6 miles daily. I also run three times a week, which often covers my step count. In addition, I walk my daughter to school and take my dog around the neighborhood. While I don’t count steps and sometimes leave my phone at home, I’m confident I get enough activity most days.
Even though I aim for 10K, I usually get around 7-8K steps, but it can be tough with work and post-workout laziness!
I typically get 13,000 to 16,000 steps a day since I work as a server. I mean, it’s part of the job!
I am currently hitting 20,000 steps a day. Even though I have a car, I’m making an effort not to use it.
It depends on my activity. I exercise daily: running gives me about 13,000 steps, while going to the gym usually adds around 5000. I focus on activities rather than counting steps, like holding a plank for 2 minutes won’t show steps, but it gives results!
I average about 10,000 steps on weekdays for commuting. On weekends, it varies based on events and how lazy I feel.
Typically between 15k and 30k. As a nurse, I do hospital rounds, navigating large hospital facilities to visiting different departments, labs, and administrative areas on my feet constantly. I barely sit down.
I average 12-15k steps per day, with the final 5k coming from walking my pet in the evening.
A lot. My job involves a lot of walking, and I hike during my free time.
Instead of counting steps, focus on maintaining an active lifestyle.
15-25k steps daily, depending on the season. Without a car, I walk or take the bus everywhere, dog walks, trips to the grocery store, dropping kids at daycare, and walking to bus stops all contribute. Sometimes, I add in hikes.
I aim for 10-15k steps daily, with a deliberate approach. My day begins with a long walk for my dog.
