Looking for book recommendations on vitality, personal health, or body conditioning!

What’s everyone reading lately? I am loving learning about fitness and health through books, as they provide in-depth, well-researched info compared to the quick content on social media.

Right now, I’m listening to Anti-Diet by Christy Harrison on Spotify audiobooks and finding it super informative and accessible. As a medical student interested in fitness, the history of dieting and how perceptions of obesity and health have evolved is fascinating. Highly recommend!

I am somewhat embarrassed by how little I know about menopause, apart from the few instances it’s come up in my studies, so I will read that. Thank you!

Women should educate themselves about menopause before experiencing its symptoms, while men should understand what their female partners may go through, including risks like bone density loss due to decreased estrogen.

Thank you for the heads-up! However, I believe you should not blame yourself for not knowing much about it, as it’s rarely discussed in my experience. I hope this changes as women’s health becomes less taboo.

I don’t blame myself, but I wish I had made more effort to educate myself earlier. It’s important to prioritize and de-stigmatize women’s health! 🩷

Many people have suggested it, indicating that it’s a good idea to address it sooner rather than later. Thank you!

I enjoyed it a lot! If you prefer audiobooks, Attia narrates it himself, making it very engaging to listen to.

You’re already reading the book and author I was going to suggest. Additionally, take a look at her latest book, The Wellness Trap.

Her podcast is also excellent.

Oh great, I really enjoy her writing style, so I’ll be sure to check those out!

The speaker enjoyed several episodes of the Maintenance Phase podcast and plans to read Aubrey Gordon’s book.

The book “Everything Fat Loss” by Ben Carpenter offers scientific insights into fat loss methods and encourages readers to reflect on their motivations for weight loss rather than merely promoting it.

I am currently reading “Outlive.” It’s too soon for me to form an opinion on the book, but it does contain some excellent recommendations.
